The Rail Yard Operator will assist with rail and yard operations related to railcar movements, maintenance of site appearance and upkeep, site snow removal, preparation of trains, loading of trains, inventory, basic maintenance, and inspections. #sksupportsukraine

Responsibilities
Assist with railcar movements, preparation of trains, and loading of trains.
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance
Assist with other general duties within the facility (general maintenance, landscaping)
Become proficient in and follow local, provincial, and federal rail yard operating procedures and policies
Adhere to company safety policies and procedures and be willing to enforce them with other employees and visitors
Qualifications
Must have the ability to work safely, communicate well and perform in a team environment
Ability to problem solve
Attention to detail and ability to carry out instructions
Flexible in workday task changes
Accuracy and precision in completing necessary documentation
Willing to attend training (on-site and off-site) as it relates to job responsibilities
Willing to work a rotating shift work schedule, overtime, holidays, nights and weekends as required.
Willing to be on call and meet call-out standards to respond to site responsibilities and emergencies
Physical Requirements
Physically able to climb up and down railcars/ladders safely, walk up and down steps, and work at heights
Willing to work outside in inclement weather
Willing to work with hazardous liquid and dry bulk materials
Able to carry at least fifty (50) pounds
