Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager of Nursing Practice and Education, the Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for ensuring all work is in alignment with the organizations missions, goals, values, and strategic plans to promote high quality, safe client care. This is accomplished by assisting in establishing and maintaining best practice; assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating unit orientation, in-servicing and other educational programming; assessing learning needs; acting as a clinical resource; promoting client and family centered care; participating in committee work as assigned; participating in continuous improvement activities; developing and maintaining client and staff resources. The CNE will function as a member of the interprofessional clinical team to promote effective delivery of client care in the SHR, including regular direct communication and input from the clinical nursing manager(s).
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Certificate
Canadian Nurses Association certification in the relevant nursing discipline is preferred
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
Experience
Minimum 3 years recent full-time equivalent experience in geriatric/medical nursing. Experience in a clinical leadership role (charge nurse, clinical coordinator or equivalent) preferred.
Experience with advanced wound care and caring for older adults with dementia is an asset. Previous experience in formal clinical practice teaching, mentoring and coordinating quality improvement activities is preferred. Experience in program planning, implementation and evaluation; ap
