Job Summary: We are looking for a Roofer Estimator who will be responsible for the effective preparation of detailed estimates for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. The Roofer Estimator will develop and assist in the creation of cost estimates, proposals, and tender documents for roofing projects.
As the successful candidate you will:
Analyze plans, job specifications, project drawings, and proposals to prepare bid estimates.
Understand estimating scope of work, deliverables, schedule of execution, estimate structure, formats, reports, etc.
Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to determine scope of work.
Deliver accurate and comprehensive estimates in accordance with estimating procedures, standards, and practices.
Provide guidance on services, procedures, and methods in support of estimates or proposals.
Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings.
Assist with document preparation for proposals and tenders.
Present estimates to management for review.
Prepare and submit all closeout submittals and O&M Manuals.
Is this the right role for you?
Minimum 2 years of estimating experience or equivalent technical training/experience.
A construction related degree/diploma is an asset.
You have a working knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong MS Office skills and experience with estimating tools and systems.
You can work effectively and accurately in time sensitive situations within a team.
