Sprouts Daycare is a licensed Christian centre located 7 minutes from Brighton and we are seeking a passionate, nurturing, and enthusiastic full-time caregiver to join our team. We provide childcare for children 18 months to 6 years of age. We are open Monday - Friday 7:30am 5:00 pm and closed on all statutory holidays. The ideal candidate must be able to work 8 hour shifts beginning at 7:30 or 8 or 8:30.
Duties include but not limited to:
Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, spiritual and social development of children in a Christian environment.
Model appropriate behaviour and positive behaviour and classroom management techniques.
Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity.
Work cooperatively as a team member by communicating and contributing information on a regular basis
Maintain open, friendly and cooperative relationships with families.
Support children in the development of their self-help skills (eating, table manners, tidying up and toilet habits) independence.
Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and sanitization.
Assist in serving meals and snacks.
Qualifications:
-Early Childhood Education level I, II, or III or willingness to obtain.
-Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sectors check
-First Aid, CPR & AED or willingness to obtain prior to start date
-Safe Food Certificate is an asset but not required
***Must be able to legally work in Canada***
