Under the direction of the Senior Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Assistant will support the growth of the YMCA of Reginas Human Resources department. The role supports the team in achieving the organizations goals and objectives as well as providing day-to-day clerical support. The position works with information that requires a high level of discretion and confidentiality while demonstrating a strong attention to detail with the ability to balance multiple demands simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
* Acts as back-up for the Payroll department.
* Coordinates on-boarding, off-boarding and HR related training.
* Creates reports, edits and proofs policies, communications, and training documents.
* Assists with the recruitment and selection process.
* Maintains confidential HR files and databases.
* Assists with other department duties as assigned.
What youll need:
* Preference will be given to those with a post-secondary certificate in a related field such as human resources or payroll.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in an HR role; previous payroll experience is preferred but not required.
* Excellent verbal and written communications skill
* Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for new hire orientations.
* Drivers license and personal vehicle required for travel between locations in Regina and Moose Jaw.
* Criminal Record Check prior to first day of work and dated no more than 3 months before hire date.
