Highschool Practical Applied Arts Teacher (Full-Time 2.0)
Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority (ADEA) is seeking applications for Highschool Practical Applied Arts Teacher, two full-tine positions (2.00 FTE) at Father Megret High School, located in Hatchet Lake, SK, and Father Porte Memorial Dene School, located in Black Lake, SK.
The ADEA is a First Nation Education Authority serving the three Denesuline First Nations communities in northern Saskatchewan; Black Lake, Hatchet Lake, and Fond Du Lac. The Authority is working toward improved educational outcomes by utilizing the latest technology, progressively piloting programs, and integrating Denesuline culture into the classroom and school curriculum.
Father Megret High School in Hatchet Lake is a Grade 6 to 12 facility with a student population of 350+, and a strong group of professional and paraprofessional staff. Father Porte Memorial Dene School in Black Lake is a Pre-K to Grade 12 facility with a student population of 400+, also a strong group of professional and paraprofessional staff.
Opportunity:
This position reports to the Principal and/or Vice Principal of the school. The Teacher has responsibilities with respect to the quality of learning experience; shall co-operate with colleagues and administrative authorities in advancing the educational standard and efficiency levels of the school; and participate in educational planning by the staff and band, and in regular advancement of their personal professional competence.
