Job Description: The Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Consultant Senior reports directly to the Children's Therapy Program Manager. There is one ASD Consultant who will work with children and youth with ASD or suspected ASD up to 19 years of age. The ASD Consultant Senior will direct the work of the ASD support workers in conjunction with the Children's Therapy Program Manager.  This position is designated a field hours position.  The ASD Consultant will work closely with the other services providers for the target group including health professionals, school professionals and other service providers.
Required Qualifications

Master's Degree in a recognized human services field (Speech-Language, Pathology, Occupational therapy, Psychology preferred, other human services fields may be considered)
Experience
A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
ASD specific clinical knowledge, skills and experience
Collaborative skills-system specific
Demonstrated ability to be self-directed
Design and implementation methods of individual behaviour plans

Other Information

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
