Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority (ADEA) is now accepting resumes for:

Occupational Therapist Contractor(s)

The ADEA is a First Nation Education Authority serving the three Denesuline First Nations communities in northern Saskatchewan; Black Lake, Hatchet Lake, and Fond Du Lac. The Authority is working toward improved educational outcomes by utilizing the latest technology, progressively piloting programs, and integrating Denesuline culture into the classroom and school curriculum.
Father Porte Memorial Dene School in Black Lake is a Pre-K to Grade 12 facility with a student population of 400+ and professional and paraprofessional staff of 60+ members. Father Megret Highschool and Elementary School in Hatchet Lake are Pre-K to Grade 12 facilities with a student population of 200 to 350 students, and professional and paraprofessional staff of 40+ members in the two schools. Father Gamache Memorial School in Fond Du Lac is a Pre-K to Grade 12 facility with a student population of 350+ and professional and paraprofessional staff of 60+ members.

OPPORTUNITY:
The Occupational Therapist will help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally by providing programs that will help their fine motor, visual, motor integration, sensory processing, and other occupational performance skills. The occupational therapist will also consult with teachers, administrators, parents, and other service providers when designing a program to help each student and oversee the process of the program.
