Responsibilities:
Reading and interpreting architectural and structural blueprints
Creating 3D models using the Mitek Sapphire Structure BIM program
Engineering roof and floor trusses and producing digital shop drawings for production
Generating estimates for residential, commercial and agricultural projects
Collaborating with colleagues, contractors, and lumberyards on their structural design needs
Qualifications:
Diploma in Architectural or Engineering Technology preferred, although may be substituted with technical training or industry knowledge
Experience with Mitek software and/or ReviT 3D software would be highly valued
Design experience or practical framing experience an asset
Strong math skills and understanding basic geometry is essential
Detail oriented and methodical work style would be a good fit for this position
Microsoft Office fluency required
