Job Description: As part of the Adult Counseling and the Early Psychosis Intervention Program (EPIP), the psychologist will be responsible for the provision of services to adults who are experiencing significant distress or dysfunction related to mental disorder, trauma, cumulative stress or problems in living. Clinical services will include psychological assessments, diagnostic services and treatment which will be provided in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
Authorized Practice Endorsement within the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists would be considered an asset
Ph.D. Internship Training from an accredited training program
PhD in Psychology from an accredited program
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work collaboratively with affiliated agencies and services
Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
Areas of specific emphasis may include trauma, early psychosis, and other complex mental health presentations
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in psychological assessment of adult clients with mental health and/or addictions issues including cognitive, learning and clinical
Demonstrated knowledge of various mental disorders, their etiology and approaches to intervention
Demonstrated skills in providing counseling and therapy to individuals, couple and groups
Demonstrated understanding of the treatment and management of clients with mental illness including programs and interventions
Strong written and oral communication skils and excellent organizational skills
