Description

Regina Immigrant Women Centre (RIWC) is a non-profit organization that provides programming and services to Newcomer Women and their families
RIWC is hiring a full-time Newcomer Information Officer to provide program promotions, establish partnerships in the community, general information dissemination on settlement services and language training in the community, and client needs assessments
DUTIES
Work on program promotions and establish partnerships in the community
Maintain and update lists of programs/services offered to newcomers in Regina and catchment areas
Provide information and resources to newcomers to Regina and the catchment areas
Update intake forms, templates, and information on community resources if needed while working closely with the Settlement Coordinator
Provide pre-arrival services to eligible clients
Conduct Needs Assessment with eligible clients and referrals to appropriate services
Enter information into forms and database
Perform outreach by organizing group information and orientation sessions in different areas of Regina and the catchment areas
Assist in writing and submitting reports
Collaborate with stakeholders for smooth operations of the unit
Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Post-secondary degree in the field of social service or related field
1-2 years of experience working with communities and people from different backgrounds
Work independently and as a team player
Additional language is an asset
Availability to work at different locations and flexible hours
Good communication and computer skills
Valid Drivers license will be an added advantage.
