The Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority (ADEA) is a First Nation Education Authority serving the three Denesuline First Nations communities in northern Saskatchewan; Black Lake First Nation, Hatchet Lake First Nation, and Fond Du Lac First Nation. The Authority serves a total student population of approximately 1,300+ students. The Authority is working toward improved educational outcomes by utilizing the latest technology, progressively piloting programs, and integrating Denesuline culture into the classroom and school curriculum.
The ADEA is seeking a competent, confident, motivated individual to fill the position of a contractor, as a Mental Health Therapist, at Father Gamache Memorial School (FGMS) located at Fond Du Lac, Saskatchewan. FGMS is a Pre-K to Grade 12 facility with a student population of 400+, and a strong group of professional and paraprofessional staff.
OPPORTUNITY:
The Mental Health Therapist will provide mental health services that involves providing direct culturally appropriate clinical counseling to students, intake assessments and the development of treatment plans, provide crisis intervention that addresses issues, and work towards helping each student to reach their fullest potential.
