Description

The George Gordon First Nation is currently seeking applications for the position of Administrative Receptionist.  The successful candidate will perform a variety of administrative, clerical, reception, and research duties to support the George Gordon Administrative Office, while providing administrative support to staff.

Reports to the Director of Operations.

Qualifications
    Grade 12 education with minimum one (1) year related administrative experience with similar tasks and duties as outlined in the job description.
    Working knowledge of computer programs such as Email, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
    Knowledge and experience using a database to collect, maintain and update information.
    Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to deal effectively with clients and customers.
    Possess the ability to plan and organize in a self-directed environment.
    Excellent organizational skills
    Ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks in a busy work environment
    Strong interpersonal skills, dependability, and reliability.
    Valid driver's license and CPIC.

Primary Responsibilities
    Provide office support services in order to ensure efficiency and effectiveness within the GGFN Administration Office.
    Manage and monitor the reception area at all times.
    Receive, direct and relay telephone messages and fax messages to appropriate staff members.
    Greet in a courteous manner and direct the public to appropriate staff member.
    Open, date stamp all general correspondents, log in-coming faxes/mail and supply orders.
    Update bulletin board, post and remove outdated material.
    Maintain an adequate inventory of office and coffee supplies.
    Respond to public inquiries.
    Maintain confidentiality of all records and files.
    Will perform other related duties.
