Job Description: The Manager, Lab Medicine is accountable for the integrated functions and testing activities for the disciplines within   eleven locations (direct and indirect), including Yorkton, Preeceville, Norquay, Invermay, Canora, Kamsack, Ituna, Melville, Saltcoats, Langenburg, and Esterhazy. The Yorkton and Area Manager ensures compliance with laboratory licensing, regulatory and accreditation requirements, safety and other relevant quality standards.  The disciplines the position will oversee include Biochemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, Microbiology, and Specimen Procurement and Management. The Manager will lead and participate in provincial initiatives and collaboration between the staff, physicians and management of the Saskatchewan Health Authority at all levels of the organization as well as the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, eHealth and others as required on a number of strategic directions related to Laboratory Medicine connected to the areas operations.
Required Qualifications

Licensed and in good standing with professional association and/or regulatory body, if applicable
Undergraduate degree or diploma in a clinical related science, or completion of a Medical Laboratory Technology diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Class 5 Driver's license
Experience
Experience, at an operational level, as a leader who has developed and led innovative planning and programs in a complex, multi-stakeholder
environment.
5+ years of experience in a leadership position with progressive advancement, preferably with experience in a clinical laboratory environment.
