Description

As the Financial Controller at Emerald Park Home Hardware, you'll play a key role in overseeing financial operations, collaborating closely with the General Manager. Your responsibilities include ensuring precise financial reporting, implementing robust controls, and providing strategic financial guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for accuracy and compliance
Collaborate with departments on budgeting and forecasting to enhance financial performance
Conduct thorough financial analysis using variance analysis, trend analysis, and modeling
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial legal requirements
Establish and maintain internal controls to minimize financial risk
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and policy adherence
Conduct regular reconciliations of financial accounts, promptly resolving discrepancies
Actively participate in continuous learning and training, including inventory management

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred
Proven experience as in the retail industry
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations specific to retail
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills
Effective communication and leadership abilities
Detail-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines
