SRI HOMES is in need of Construction Labourer

Employment Terms:  Permanent - Full Time  

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Move construction materials to job sites after loading and unloading them onto transport trucks.
2. Set up scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barriers at construction sites
3. Assist carpenters, roofers, and glaziers with building projects.
4. Assist heavy equipment operators with securing special attachments to equipment, guiding them in moving equipment, and other tasks.
5. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
6. Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed
7. Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors and pumps
8. Oil and grease hoists and similar equipment
9. Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.

WORKING HOURS:  8 hours/day, 7:00 AM  3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with 2 days off on weekends

WAGE/BENEFITS: $18.50/hour, Company benefits include extended health, dental and pension after satisfactory fulfillment of a three-month probationary period

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

1. Education:  No formal education required
2. Work Experience:  Experience will assets
3. Must have knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools.
4. Must have knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
5. Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
