Company Overview:
Thompsons Resort is one of several Adventure Destinations properties. Thompsons Resort is located in the Hamlet of Missinipe on Otter Lake in the beautiful northern region of Saskatchewan in Treaty 6 Territory. For more information check out: www.adventuredestinations.ca

Position:
Working closely with the Lead Cook at Thompsons Resort, you will contribute to the successful operation of the restaurant by preparing menu items and plating dishes according to the restaurant menu. Cook will follow instructions and have responsibilities delegated by the Head Chef or Lead Cook in the general operation of the kitchen, including food prep, cleaning, and rotating of stock.

Skills and Qualifications:
FoodSafe certificate
Operate large-volume cooking equipment
such as deep fryers, grills, pizza oven
Team player
Multi-task, calm under pressure
Following directions
Professional
Time management
Positive attitude, strong work ethic
Able to work with minimum supervision
Maintain health and safety standards
Baking/pastry experience an asset
Minimum two years experience in a commercial kitchen
Reliable and trustworthy
Receive grocery orders, ensure proper storage
Participate in planning and preparation of catered events

Schedule and Hours:
This is a busy seasonal operation. Depending on operational and staffing needs you may be working split-shifts and/or 7-days a week during our busy times. June is our busiest month.

Benefits:
Free-of-charge accommodation and one staff meal/day. Special staff rates in restaurant and the Churchill River Trading Post. Use of company fishing boats during off-work hours at a flat rate of $10/use.
