General Description of Role:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Supervisor is accountable for maintaining control of all food safety and humane handling related issues as well as programs on the floor.
Key Accountabilities:
Accountable for ensuring quality products are produced to meet customer expectations of quality and quantity.
Responsible for start up, ie) Room set up, adjust equipment
Ensures a safe working environment for employees, customers and visitors.
Accountable for the effective utilization of all company resources.
Accountable for ensuring safe work practices and good manufacturing practices.
Monitor employees to ensure they are complying to GMP and HACCP practices.
Responsible for workers schedule, ie) proper rotation among work.
Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications:
Must demonstrate strong leadership/team building skills.
Must have a minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
Ability to use company computer and software applications.
Strong knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
Proven Experience, with the ability to manage workforce within the guidelines provided through Collective Agreement Terms & Conditions, as well as Human Resources' policies & guidelines.
Shift: Permanent, Afternoon Shift (2pm-11:30pm), 40 hours per week
