BURNER LOADER OPERATOR

The Burner Loader Operator will be trained to safely and efficiently operate the Woodroom area so that the solid waste and refuse from the designated areas are handled in a timely manner. The Burner Loader Operator will be required to work 12-hour rotating shifts in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:
-Operate loader to handle any general yard housekeeping duties
-Maximize burning solid waste (bark, sludge & grit) in Incinerator
-Operation and maximization of sludge dryer
-Monitor landfills and report any environmental issues
-Complete mobile equipment pre-op inspection checklist daily
-Assist with maintenance as required

Qualifications:
-Industrial or equipment experience is considered an asset
-Highly motivated and able to work independently
-Ability to multi-task
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Comfortable working at heights while in motion
-Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and temperatures
-A high sense of urgency with regards to operational requirements
