Description

Directional Driller

RFNOW Inc. is seeking applications from motivated individuals interested in joining our Construction and Maintenance Team as Directional Drillers working out of Virden or Brandon, Manitoba. The successful candidates will be involved in the day-to-day operations including the preparation and installation of fibre internet infrastructure.

General Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain one of a variety of directional drill rigs for the installation of our fibre optic network.
Working with a JT25, JT20, and JT920 directional drill with Subsite Recon system
Cleaning, lubricating, and maintaining equipment.
Conduct daily equipment inspections reports on equipment before use. Report any repair issues or equipment hazards immediately.
Secure special attachments to equipment
Assist with general labor duties when needed, to complete fibre optic construction projects.
Transport materials and equipment to and from the jobsite, including loading and unloading.
Using proper tie-down procedures, secure materials to be transported to ensure the safety and security of the load.
Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and in compliance with company PPE standards.
Complete and submit all required accurate paperwork daily, including equipment daily inspection forms, and logbooks.

Qualifications & Experience:
Excellent communication skill both verbal and written
Experience with heavy equipment for underground construction (Backhoes, excavators, cat dozer directional drills, hydrovac, semi/trailers, dump trailer) is preferred.
Must have valid Class 1 or Class 3 license
Experience with utility locates and working around existing utilities
Must be currently authorized to work in Canada

Job Details:
Full time, Monday to Friday
Benefits package
$30 - $35/hr depending on experience
Boot and coverall allowance
