Practical and Applied Arts Teacher (Term Contract)

The Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority (ADEA) is a First Nation Education Authority serving the three Denesuline First Nations communities in northern Saskatchewan; Black Lake First Nation, Hatchet Lake First Nation, and Fond Du Lac First Nation. The Authority serves a total student population of approximately 1,300+ students. The Authority is working toward improved educational outcomes by utilizing the latest technology, progressively piloting programs, and integrating Denesuline culture into the classroom and school curriculum.

We are seeking a competent, confident, motivated individual to fill the position of a Highschool Math Teacher at Father Porte Memorial Dene School (FPMDS) on a term contract (with the potential of going on a full-time permanent contract) located in Black Lake, Saskatchewan. In this role, you will provide strong interpersonal skills, commitment to learning and teaching in project-based ways and provide an enthusiastic learning environment for students.

To qualify for this position, you will possess a Bachelor of Education degree from an accredited university, a teaching certificate or equivalent, recognized post-secondary Diploma as a Math Teacher or equivalent, and be eligible for or possess a valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate. The successful candidate will be required to relocate to the community.
