-Responsible for following the policies and procedures of Peters Excavating as set by the management team.
-Responsible for positively representing Peters Excavating.
-Responsible for participating in the Health and Safety Program.
-Responsible for proper care and maintenance of the building, property and assets.
-Responsible for the quality of worked performed.
-Responsible for participating in training sessions.


-Clean drivers abstract.
-Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience operating.
-Good personality.
-Willing to work 10 to 12 hour days and Saturday when required.
-Willing to fill in as a labourer when required.
-Mechanical ability an asset but not required.
-CSA/Approved Steel toed boots.

Skills and Abilities:

-Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
-Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
-Operate heavy equipment (Excavator, Grader, Dozer, Skidsteer, etc.)
-Perform minor repair to equipment.
-Secure attachments and equipment.
-Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification an asset but not required.
-Class 3A or 1A license preferred, but not required.
-Clean Drug and Alcohol test is a condition of employment.
-Job task planning and organization.
-Decision making.
-Working with Others.
-Snow removal.
-Fine grading and finishing.
-Material handling.
-Rough grading.
-Sloping and banking.
-Stock piling.
-Sub-grade excavating.
-Loading Trucks.
