Summer Student Job Summer Student Job

Prairie's Edge Development Corporation is seeking summer students for the 2024 lake season (May to September) at Sunset Beach at Lake Diefenbaker.

Spend your summer outside at the lake: friends - sunshine - fresh air - tan - beach - exercise

Students will engage in outside physical work. Responsibilities of the position include:
Tree planting
Tree maintenance (weeding)
Running irrigation system
Mowing grass on zero-turn mower
Wipper snipping
Harrowing (on quad)
Spraying (on quad)
Other miscellaneous tasks, including but not limited to:
Garbage pick-up
Basic equipment maintenance
Little Free Library organization
The summer student maintenance worker is a full-time position with 40 hours per week for May, June, July, and August. You will have flexibility in determining your own personal schedule to comprise 40 hours. For example, you may choose to work four 10-hour days to enjoy a three-day weekend.

For serious applicants who are not local to the Sunset Beach at Lake Diefenbaker area (an hour and a half south of Saskatoon), onsite accommodations may be provided. However, applicants that can demonstrate their own accommodations (staying with family or friends in the area), will be selected before applicants that require accommodations.

You will work in a tight-knit team and receive hands on training pertaining to the above responsibilities that will allow you to succeed independently. We encourage you to apply alone or with friends, who are in secondary or post-secondary education of all fields.

Wage will be based on experience and skill set.

Please send your resume and cover letter to Ashley at If you have questions related to the position, please text or call Ashley at (306) 231-5994.

We look forward to connecting with you!
