PARTNERS Family Services is accepting applications for the position of Mental Health Counsellor. PARTNERS staff provide a safe, confidential and welcoming environment that assists individuals and families to meet their immediate and on going needs. There is 1 full time permanent position available:
Scope of practice includes crisis intervention, rapid access counselling, clinical counselling, program facilitation, client advocacy and systems navigation.
Travel within a 100km radius of Humboldt may be required on occasion.
Requirements:
- BSW, BISW, OR current registration with a Canadian counselling body such as CCPA, CCPC, etc.
- Competent in a variety of counselling modalities including solution focused and brief therapy
- Experience working with youth and adults experiencing moderate mental health challenges including anxiety and depression and other mood disorder
-Experience collaborating and with internal and external stakeholders to ensure coordination of services to clients
- Experience working with community groups, volunteers and agencies
- Strong team work capacity, highly organized, and capable of managing varied demands
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and professional demeanor
- Excellent writing skills, time management, communication and file management skills
- Computer competencies
- Certified in First Aid, CPR, ASIST and NVCI
- Use of personal vehicle including 2mil in liability insurance
-Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector screening
