Description

The Front of House (FOH) Supervisor works closely with Thompsons Resort Manager and Head Cook to create an exceptional guest experience and smooth operation of the restaurant and conference room.
The role encompasses all aspects of running a restaurant and includes, but not limited to, recruiting and training; scheduling; leadership; maintaining inventory; food consistency; cleanliness and presentation of restaurant and conference room; health and safety; company policy and procedure compliance. The right candidate will ensure efficient restaurant operations, and oversee the restaurant, conference room, front of house and back of house. The FOH Supervisor will be required to take serving shifts when needed.

Skills and Experience:
Experience as Restaurant Manager, Banquet Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role
Proven customer service experience in a leadership role
Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
Serve it Right Certificate, Food Safe Certificate, WHIMIS Certificate
Acute financial management skills
Organized and ability to multi-task
Physically able to perform job
Problem solving and dispute resolution skills
Friendly, positive, and professional
Hardworking, reliable and dependable
Flexible and adaptable
Valid drivers license

Responsibilities:
Lead Front of House and Back of House restaurant operations
Coordinate and lead conference room events
Planning menus and specials with kitchen lead
Recruit, train, lead and support staff to ensure a positive guest experience
Assess staff performance, provide feedback to improve
Schedule and supervise shifts
Oversees opening and closing tasks
Control operational costs and identify ways to improve
Balance daily financial transactions
Monitor presentation and cleanliness of the restaurant and conference room
Inventory control, ordering and restocking of supplies
Communicate with suppliers
