Description

CFSPA is a non-profit charitable organization located in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and has been providing counselling services, life improvement, and job re-entry programs for over 30 years.  We serve people from Prince Albert and area and have an annual budget of approximately $1.3 million.

The volunteer board of CFSPA considers itself a governing board and seeks an Executive Director who will work in partnership with it to serve the organization through leadership and accountability.

The job description and expectations of the Executive Director are outlined in the governing policies of the organization but key attributes that will be essential for success include:

    Familiarity with the mental health services and the issues of the field
    Demonstrated experience in organizational management, positive work culture and leadership (financial, program, human resources)
    Familiarity with the accountabilities of non-profit organizations and the roles and authorities of the board and staff
    Demonstrated experience with grant writing and reporting
    Demonstrated experience working in a charitable environment, including working with securing charitable donations and other forms of fund raising
    Familiarity with program design, delivery, administration and reporting
    Knowledge of research, tools, and resources that will support the development of and advocacy for mental health services
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The board of directors is flexible regarding the engagement arrangement with the successful candidate to ensure that this opportunity is seen as attractive to highly qualified candidates.  In responding to this competition, potential candidates are asked to outline their preferred engagement arrangement (e.g. flexible work, full or part-time employment etc.).

The compensation range for the position is negotiable based on the skills, experience and engagement arrangement of the successful candidate.
