Description

Gateway Co-operative Limited is accepting applications for a part-time produce associate.  Responsibilities include:
- Greeting, assisting customers and providing excellent customer service.
- To promote themselves as a brand ambassador for the Gateway Co-operative.
- Maintaining suitable inventory levels, receiving deliveries, stocking produce items.
- To maintain and display all types of produce products according to standards.
- Any other duties needed to help to drive Gateway Co-op's vision and abide by our values of responsibility, respect and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Retail working experience is considered an asset.
- High school diploma or working on completion of a high school diploma.
- Working knowledge of produce quality, hygiene, safety, and food preparation.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
- Completion of food safety program or willingness to obtain.
Working Conditions:
- Must have the demonstrated ability to fulfil physical job requirements including, but not limited to:
  - ability to reach, bend, stoop and lift to 11.34 kg. (25 pounds).
  - lift boxes up to 22.67 kg.(50 pounds) on an intermittent basis.
- ability to push/pull heavier loads over 22.67 kg (50 pounds) with use of a pallet jack; ability to climb ladders.
  - extended periods of standing; repetitive manual work and other physically demanding requirements.
- On-call as required. Will require to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
