Description

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Yorkton and Area is a dynamic and impactful charitable nonprofit dedicated to enabling live-changing mentoring programs that ignite the power and potential of young people. Join the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization and play a crucial role in shaping the future of youth in Yorkton and Area.
Coordinate and facilitate impactful mentoring programs to empower youth.
Contribute to the recruitment, intake, and onboarding of volunteer mentors and their volunteer management. Intakes of youth, creating and nurturing mentoring relationships to support their healthy development.
Assist in planning and executing engaging fundraising and promotional activities that further mentoring.
Qualifications:
Must have a 2-year diploma in education, social or human sciences, child and youth development, or family studies. Will consider candidates enrolled in post-secondary education in human service-related areas. Candidates must have a valid driver's license.
Demonstrate specific training in human growth and development, coupled with strong interpersonal skills such as communication skills, teamwork, leadership, empathy, cultural sensitivity and conflict resolution, and customer service, to name a few. Be a positive role model, fostering supportive interactions with youth, volunteers, and community members.
