Description

Greeting office visitors/patients in person and over the phone.
Answering and routing incoming phone calls in a professional and polite manner.
Scheduling appointments for patients: both for doctors office visits and for lab tests/procedures.
Filing medical records and performing other administrative duties as required.
Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients.
Maintain business inventory such as checking supplies, scheduling equipment, and maintenance repairs. Ensure that stock levels are adequate, and orders are made timeously.
Maintain confidentiality of all doctors, staff, and patient information. Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.
Remind all patients with their office/lab appointments 24-48 hours before their upcoming appointments.
Adhere to office policy and procedures during all activities.
Complete accurate documentation of patient visits by entering them into the office EMR.
Medical Receptionist Requirements:
Bachelors degree (advantageous).
Administration certification (advantageous).
1-2 years of experience at a healthcare facility in a medical receptionist role (advantageous).
Working knowledge of medical terminology, and HIPAA regulations, (highly advantageous).
Innovative thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
Strong organizational, administrative, and planning skills.
Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to emergency situations.
Ability to use discretion while working with sensitive information.
Excellent documentation, and communication skill
A successful candidate must have excellent phone etiquette and be comfortable working with patients in a clinical environment.
Must be familiar with medical terminology and computer use.  
Sensitivity to confidential matters is a must have.
A probation period of at least 3 months is the rule. We will respond only to potential candidates.
