THE ROLE
We are looking for a part time employee who will provide coverage and lead programming as part of the EPYC Team.

We are searching for an energetic and talented person who enjoys working with youth. In this position, you will have the opportunity to lead activities that help youth learn new skills, make social connections and have fun.

You will gain experience planning activities and teaching and leading youth while ensuring a healthy and safe environment.
The Drop-In Supervisor will provide respectful, inclusive and quality programs by committing to:
treat youth with respect, acceptance and honesty,
interact with youth in a patient, interested, understanding and caring manner,
promote feelings of competency and self-esteem,
encourage responsible, safe and mutually respectful behaviour through positive methods such, as role modeling.

DUTIES
Assist in the coordination and facilitation of drop-in activities.
Ensure open/close procedures are followed.
Ensure safety protocols and procedures are maintained.
Engage with youth during drop-in activities.
Lead drop-in activities in a respectful and inclusive manner.
Keep EPYCs space neat and tidy.
Work, collaborate and report to the Executive Director.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education in the human services field, equivalent experience or a combination of both.
Experience working with and engaging youth.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with youth, staff and partnering agencies and maintain strict confidentiality and appropriate boundaries.
Leadership experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Organized and efficient.
Written and oral communication skills.
Able to work with limited to no supervision.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search.
