Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
    Facilitate the delivery of planned training sessions.
    Attend tournaments and scheduled matches within the age group you have been assigned to work with
    Commit to ongoing growth and development in coaching youth soccer players.  This includes both internal and external coach development opportunities.
    Subscribe to QC United training methodology and follow our pedagogical approach.
    Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
    Communicate effectively with players, parents, and other coaches to ensure a clear understanding of expectations and goals.  
    Deliver on-field sessions following the curriculum and Game Model developed by the Club.
    Utilize coaching resources and software to help plan and manage training sessions and match play.
    Deliver additional training programs offered by the Club (ie. camps, community outreach events, etc).
    Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
    Prior experience as a player at a reasonable level is required.
    The ability to demonstrate technical skills to young players or the ability to learn these skills.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Valid Drivers License with access to personal vehicle.
    Possess an understanding of Canada Soccers Long-Term Player Development.
    Ability to take direction.
    Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
    The ability to communicate in English both orally and written is a requirement.  
    Successful candidates will be required to have ALL the following courses and certifications before their first day of coaching with QC United:
o    Respect in Sport Activity Leader Training (online)
o    Making Ethical Decisions (online)
o    Rule of Two Training (online)
o    Emergency Action Plan (online)
o    Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen
o    Making Headway in Soccer (online)
o    Age appropriate coach education course
