Agriculture mechanic and general farm hand employment available on a large family owned and operated grain farm 8 miles north of Hodgeville. Offering competitive wages with a bonus structure, on the job training and a respectful, fun work environment. We are looking to expand our team with another full-time permanent employee who can maintain and repair farm equipment and buildings and help with equipment operating during seeding and harvest.
Applicants must:
Work well independently and with a diverse team;
Be mechanically inclined, however heavy-duty mechanic tickets not necessary;
Be flexible, reliable and organized;
Have excellent communication skills in English both oral and written;
Be physically fit for a daily combination of sitting, standing, walking, crouching, heavy lifting etc.
Hold a valid Class 5 Drivers license and a 1A license is definitely an asset;
Have reliable transportation to and from work as public transportation is not available.
Farm experience is preferred, but will train the right candidate. This is a full-time position, available immediately. Housing is available in the town of Hodgeville. There are a few amenities available in town including fuel, basic groceries, a post office & bank, a library and it is a short 45 minute drive to Swift Current.
We are not willing to hire foreign workers who aren't already in Saskatchewan and legally able to hold employment at this time. Such applicants will not be considered.
