GSCS is Saskatchewan's largest Catholic school division, serving over 22,000 students across 50 schools. We are committed to a robust response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action and to partnership with First Nations, Metis and Inuit families and communities. With a student population of more than 3,200 Indigenous students, together, we have developed a variety of programs to foster Indigenous student belonging, participation, and success. This includes a K-9 Cree bilingual program at St. Frances Cree Bilingual School, Michif language programming at St. Michael Community School, cultural programming at Oskayak High School, a state-of-the-art fitness facility at E.D. Feehan Catholic High School, as well as a nationally recognized social pediatrics program at St. Mary's Wellness and Education Centre.
We are forever grateful to Indigenous educators, past and present, for their contributions to Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools. A workforce that reflects and affirms the diversity of our school division is an integral contributor to quality and responsive Catholic education.
