CHIEF LITTLE PINE SCHOOL invites applications for a School Liaison/Community Worker to work at Chief Little Pine school.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Share information among students, parents, and school staff
Set up home visits and office meetings with parents
Talk to teachers to find out how students are doing
Organize community events and activities that support families, such as Community engagements, cultural events, sporting events, after school programs, Graduations etc.
Refer students and their families to services they need
Support school programs for students and parents such as attendance updates, student progress and referrals for student counselling, etc.
Participation in the Cree culture and land base learning
Demonstrate the ability to work with technology and computers
Willingness to work as a team player
Dependent and reliable, ability to follow direction
Social Work experience will be considered an asset but is not a requirement.
