Description

The Town of Allan us seeking a full time Recreation Facilities Maintenance Operator who will be responsible for overseeing the operation of all recreation and culture facilities, playgrounds, parks and open spaces within the town.

Qualifications
Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence
Basic Computer skills
Must be in good physical health
Capable of meeting with and working efficiently with culture and sports-oriented organizations and the public.
Capable of supervising staff and the ability to prepare written and oral reports for the Facility Management, Town Council & Media.
Innovative, and able to plan, organize and coordinate projects
Prepared to work flexible hours
Demonstrate ability to operate tools/equipment and duties in a proficient manner and be able to perform other duties as assigned.
Must have a general knowledge of facility management
Must possess leadership qualities
Formal training is desirable but not essential.

Job Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of all recreation and culture facilities owned by the Town of Allan.
The operator shall act as the Skating rink Manager, and oversee all operations of the facility.
The Manager shall report to the Recreation Director on a consistent basis and submit reports on a monthly maintenance reports to the Administrator.
All duties in regards to Supervision of staff and volunteers, Ice Making & Maintenance, Zamboni & Resurfacing, Refrigeration Plant, General Maintenance, and Annual Duties.
Must have Arena Level 1 & 2, and Power Mobile equipment Operator Course for Zamboni (training will be provided and mandatory)
The Operator shall act as the Swimming Pool Maintenance Manager, duties include mowing the lawn, painting the pool as well as any general maintenance.
Must have pool Operators Course
Mowing, tree trimming and pest Control on golf course, ball diamonds, and park.
Inspect playground equipment and maintain the same.
