JOB SUMMARY:
This individual will posses strong organizational skills, be able to keep accurate and complete records.
Have an eye for detail and quality control. This person is responsible to assist the housekeeping management with the day to day operations of the department, namely to inspect rooms, keep stock levels at optimum range (on each floor and on each housekeepers cart), ensure Ramada Standards are being kept. Will be required to clean rooms and to take leadership of the department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
Inspect and ensure quality control (as per Ramada Standards) of all guest rooms. To utilize the hotel's property management system (Opera) to produce reports.
Assist the Executive Housekeeper with any duties necessary to enable the efficient operation of the rooms division, including updating daily payroll information to accounting.
Clean guest rooms (dusting, cleaning, wiping, vacuuming, garbage and linen removal) , as required and/or directed by executive housekeeper or assistant .Housekeeper.
Supply the housekeepers with stock for the housekeeping carts during the day, as required.
Ensure proper levels of housekeeping stock located in housekeeping storage rooms on each floor.
Ensure cleanliness in all areas by completing public area rounds and inspections
Compile up to date and accurate information on each guest room, including extra cleaning completed, maintenance requests etc. (Log book)
Keep a schedule of additional cleaning duties performed in the guest rooms and common areas.
ALL occupied rooms will need to be inspected each day.
Communicate with the front desk staff regularly to ensure efficiency.
