Description

Lafarge Construction in Saskatoon is hiring Labourers for the construction/maintenance of roads and parking lots.  

Duties / Tasks:

General laborer duties associated with all aspects of road construction including base, paving and concrete applications.
Required ability to shovel, rake and handle other small tools.
Operate equipment as needed.
Equipment cleanup as needed.
May be called upon to run small power tools.
Spotting and flagging.
Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.
Follow instructions from your supervisor or manager
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Valid Drivers License
Overtime as required
Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt
Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required
Must comply with the companys drug and alcohol testing requirements.

-Work locations are in and around Saskatoon and will vary during the construction season
-Start dates vary depending on spring conditions.  In previous seasons work usually wraps up by mid November.
