Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our underground utilities division. As an excavator operator, you will be responsible to work with the crew to dig trenches to grade, assist in placement of pipe and bedding into the trench and any other tasks related to the installation of sewer and water lines. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the excavator, and any other heavy equipment related to sewer and water installation as/when needed
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper function
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
- Complete excavation and construction projects according to specifications
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion
- Adhere to project timelines and deadlines
Skills:
- To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, graders, skidsteers, scrapers, wheel loaders, packers
- A valid driver's license
- Mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Ability to dig, build, and perform excavation tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
