Night Shift Team Leader  Plastic Manufacturing

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Team Lead oversees and participates in the daily operations of the facility during the night shift. This role supervises, supports and trains plant team members in the areas of production, maintenance, health and safety, and quality control. The Team Lead coordinates production requirements based on the production plan set by the Branch Manager or designate.

Responsibilities include:

Coordinates shift production activities with team members to provide superior customer service.
Verifies daily production reports are being filled out correctly and completely.
Ensures equipment is working efficiently and product meets required quality standards.
Complies with and follows Company Health and Safety policies, procedures, practices and legislative standards.
Provides training, coaching and development for production team members in areas of production, job function, health and safety and record keeping.
Provides input to Branch Manager when evaluating production team members and recommends additional learning, growth and career development opportunities
Advise and report on necessary improvements and modification of equipment and machinery to correct inconsistencies and errors.
Performs all other work activities

Supervisory Experience
 - Rubber processing machine operators and related workers
 - Plastic products assemblers, finishers and inspectors
 - Plastics processing machine operators
 - Labourers in rubber and plastic products manufacturing
Specific Skills
 - Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule activities of production workers who operate processing machines and who fabricate, assemble, finish or inspect plastic or rubber parts and products
 - Set up machines and equipment
 - Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
 - Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units
