The YMCA of Regina excels at delivering programming focused on our three pillars of service; health and fitness, childcare and community development.

If you want to help make a difference in the lives of youth in Moose Jaw, we have a great opportunity for you! The Youth Mentor will assist in executing the Shared Services Mentorship Program in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. This program is offered in various elementary schools around Moose Jaw and at a YMCA program site. This position requires you to build relationships with youth, act as a positive role model and facilitate meaningful workshops to Youth Mentorship groups throughout the week to students in grades 1-10.

This position works 35hrs/wk and some evening work may be required.

Responsibilities:
* Implement programming in a school and small group setting.
* Creating and facilitating interactive workshops for a small group of youth ages 6-15.
* Building relationships and providing mentorship to youth referred to YMCA Mentorship Program
* Communicating program success and activities to program participants, their family and through the Y network.

Requirements:
* Ability to build relationships and work with youth is an asset, especially those with challenging behaviours
* Self-motivated and be able to work independently as well as part of a small team.
* Experience working with youth would be considered an asset
* Experience in lessons/program planning
* Demonstrate the ability to be a positive role model, mentor and authentic leader
* Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
* Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check prior to first day of work and dated no more than 3 months before hire date
* Must have update CPR and First Aid upon start date
* Valid driver's license
