Description

MGBHLM First Nation is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resource Manager to lead our HR department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company's overall objectives. They will oversee all aspects of HR operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company's objectives;
Oversee talent acquisition strategies, including recruitment, onboarding, and retention of top talent;
Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations;
Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development plans;
Develop and administer employee benefits programs, ensuring competitive offerings and compliance with regulations;
Design and deliver training and development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities;
Collaborate with Chief & Council to drive organizational culture, employee engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives;
Communicate effectively with Chief and Council, all employees and band members in a timely, responsible and professional manner;
Collaborate with Chief & Council to incorporate and maintain goals within the Strategic Plan;
Keeps current on all related Federal, Provincial and MGBHLM legislation and affairs in accordance with current laws and effective human resources management practices.  
Liaise with other First Nations, program agencies, and related organizations/institutions to network effectively for the benefit of the Nation.
