Qualifications:
Have excellent people skills and work well in crises;

Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture with a mindset that is accepting to reconciliation;
Drivers license; Vehicle;
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);

Must pass Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check;
Ability to work independently and follow policies and procedures;
Excellent time management skills.
Hours of Work: Shiftwork - As best suits the needs of the program. Evenings, weekends & overnight shifts to be expected.

Objectives: To work with the clients of the YWCA Central Avenue Shelter, providing guidance, support and life skills to empower and promote independence. To maintain a clean and secure facility and assist the residents when necessary.
Duties:
Guide the residents, providing support and advocacy, as they transition into
adulthood/independence;
Must be a good role model to the youth/clients;
Maintain building security, perform room checks/bag checks;
Ensure major housecleaning duties are complete as well as normal everyday cleaning/chores;
Attend staff meetings, training & workshops as required;
