Description

Chief Island Community Store is a gas and grocery retailer that serves on-reserve residents
in Cumberland House. We are inviting applications from interested individuals to join us as
Cashiers.

Reporting to store Supervisors, main duties for this position include the following:
Welcome customers and provide customer service
Operate cash register
Process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments
Tabulate total payment for goods and/or services
Stock shelves as needed
Clean coffee and counter area
Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco
products
Complete daily cash out sheet and any other necessary paperwork
Perform general housekeeping duties
Follow store policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Grade 12 education
No experience required, but previous experience as a cashier is considered an asset
Dependable and friendly
Work well as a team and independently
Are flexible to work various shifts
