The La Loche Housing Authority (LLHA) has an opportunity for a permanent, full-time Maintenance Worker to join their team. LLHA provides a safe, stable, and affordable option for seniors, families, individuals, and vulnerable persons. What you will do:
- Ensure housing units are rent-ready by undertaking minor repairs and any prep work required before completing a painting project
- Assist with garbage removal and janitorial duties
- Groundskeeping including grass cutting and snow removal
- Assisting maintenance staff with routine and preventative maintenance tasks
What we are looking for:
- Basic computer skills
- Quality workmanship and painting services
- Ability to lift heavy loads
- Ability to promote and participate in positive working relationships with tenants and housing authority staff, contractors and suppliers
What you will need:
- Valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation to provide service for emergencies
- Recognition of and respect for people's diversity and individual differences
- Experience in a maintenance and repair environment would be considered an asset
- The successful candidate will undergo an Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) Criminal Record Check
