Description

The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Rare Earth Element Division has an opening for a Financial Analyst for SRCs Rare Earth Processing FacilityNorth Americas first fully integrated, commercial, demonstration facility with hydrometallurgy, separation and metal smelting units. The Facility will begin to establish a rare earth element (REE) technology hub in Saskatchewan, forming an industry model for future commercial REE initiatives and supply chain development. This is a unique opportunity to join and contribute to developing an exciting business venture for the province of Saskatchewan.  


Accountabilities
Participate in the budgeting and financial reporting processes
Provide analytical advice, reporting, forecasting and support  
Oversee the accounting of inventory throughout the process
Oversee capital asset allocation and project tracking
Review and make recommendations on revenue-generating opportunities
Communicate with service providers and clients  

Qualifications
Two to five years of financial accounting or financial management experience post Chartered Professional Accountant designation or equivalent
Experience in operations in a manufacturing or mineral processing organization


Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deliver quality work in a team environment
Demonstrates a collaborative work style with excellent organizational and analytical skills  
Familiar with Microsoft Office applications, Power BI and ERP systems


The chosen candidate will be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
