Our apprentice program is for individuals seeking an exciting trade career who have shown initiative by participating in an RAP program or are registered as a 1st-year apprentice in Alberta or Saskatchewan. Our program offers 4-year strategic rotations between assets to optimize your development and ensure the successful completion of your apprenticeship. Upon successfully finishing the rotations, individuals will be seamlessly transitioned into a permanent position at Cenovus, ensuring stability and long-term career prospects within the organization.

Hours and locations depend on the asset and may entail either an 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, or a camp-based, fly-in/fly-out arrangement with a rotation of 7 days on and 7 days off, working 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with experienced trades professionals to learn various installations, repairs, and maintenance aspects.

Gain theoretical knowledge and practical experience while adhering to safety protocols and best practices in the field.

Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks aimed at improving equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair act
