Description

The Ministry of Social Services invests in positive outcomes for people in areas of income support, child and family services, supports for persons with disabilities and affordable housing.

We are looking for dynamic individuals who are devoted to helping others and improving the lives and wellbeing of children and families to join our team of Child & Caregiver Support Workers. In this role, you will provide a range of services designed to provide protective, preventative and support services to children and their families using the P.R.I.D.E. model and The Family Centered Case Management Model of practice.

If you have a passion towards ensuring the safety and well-being of children and want to join a collaborative, dedicated team of professionals focused on strengthening our communities and cultures, these opportunities are for you!

To qualify for this position, you will possess a Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work degree from an accredited university, as approved by the SASW/CASW or CASWE; OR a Human Service Degree* plus relevant related experience; OR a Social Work Certificate plus relevant related experience. All out of country education must be assessed as accredited for Canadian equivalency.

*Human Service Degrees include Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and/or Psychology, Education, Human Justice, Indigenous Studies or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing/Psychiatric Nursing plus relevant related work experience.  

As part of the Ministry of Social Services recruitment strategy, a short-term retention payment may be offered to the successful, permanent candidate who meets the eligible criteria. In addition, relocation expenses to move to the community of Nipawin for this position may be considered, as per policy, to the successful candidate.
