REMOTE WORK & TRAVEL REQUIRED
Objective 1: Assist the Canoe Kayak Saskatchewan Paddling Development Director with the organization of the Canoe/Kayak event for the Sask Summer Games (July 2024).
Objective 2: Organize & Lead the Learn-to-Paddle community sessions.
Required:
- Able to attend Saskatchewan Summer Games (July 21-24th)
- Drivers License
- Criminal record check (required as a condition of employment)
- Able to work evenings and weekends
- Willing to travel
- Skills to tow a trailer (or strong driving skills + willing to learn)
- Summer Employment - If CKS is approved for funding for part 2, the applicant would need to also meets Canada Summer Job requirements https://www.jobbank.gc.ca/youth
Helpful Assets:
-First Aid / CPR certification
-Paddle Canada or NCCP canoeing/kayaking certification
-Coaching experience
-Bronze Cross/Medallion or NLS
-Paddling equipment repair skills/experience
-Access to a vehicle
Applicants are:
-A self-starter who can be counted on to independently perform the tasks the job entails
-Driven to help others and share your passion for paddling
-A good communicator, comfortable speaking to groups in a friendly and engaging manner
-Flexible to switch from one duty to the next
-Comfortable using a computer with email, word processing, spreadsheet, and web browser software
