Job Description: As a valued Employee of SHA, the general duty nurse has responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive client care.  The registered nurse is a competent clinical practitioner assisting individuals, groups and families with health-care needs ranging from uncomplicated to complex and rapidly changing status.  As a professional the general duty nurse demonstrates a caring approach, including an understanding of the nursing process, a conceptual model for practice and SHR philosophy, objectives and standards
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Current registration in good standing with College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to initiate and exercise critical thinking and decision-making
Ability to perform the functions of the position, after unit orientation and training for certifiable skills
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in applying the nursing process
