The ministrys strategic focus is on economic growth and supporting quality of life by managing the provincial parks system and providing recreation, sport, heritage and cultural opportunities for residents and visitors.

The Opportunity

The Buffalo Pound Provincial Park is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual as the Pool Aquatic Supervisor for seasonal term opportunity, starting about the end of May to the September long weekend.

Our Pool Aquatic Supervisor position is responsible for:

- supervising junior staff by assigning work schedules, duties and priorities, completing performance appraisals, and counseling employees on how to accomplish good work performance.
- assisting with planning and implementation of special events;
- providing lifeguard duties during public swim times by ensuring a safe swimming environment, by being attentive to swimmers, enforcing safety rules and educating the public about water safety in and around the water;
- assisting with daily maintenance of the pool facility, chemical testing and reporting, checking lifesaving equipment and providing input into improvements to the pool facility program.
- Perform all work according to current Occupations and Health Policy, participate in OH&S committee meetings, adhere to the PCS Safety by holding emergent and weekly toolbox meetings.
